The Mitutoyo 118-129 Series 118 is a mechanical (non-digital) sheet metal micrometer, designed for measuring the thickness of sheet materials like metal, plastic, paper, and rubber. Its defining feature is a 6.3-inch deep throat, which allows for measurements to be taken far from the edge of the material.

  • Deep throat design: The extended throat on the C-frame allows for measurements to be made further from the edge of a workpiece than with a standard micrometer.
