The MY64 is a manual-ranging digital multimeter, typically manufactured by Mastech or V&A Instrument. Unlike an auto-ranging meter that automatically selects the measurement range, with a manual-ranging meter, you must choose the appropriate range with the rotary dial.

  • Resistance: Measures resistance up to 200MΩ.
  • Capacitance: Measures capacitance with several available ranges.

  • Temperature: Measures temperature, typically requiring a K-type thermocouple probe.
  • Continuity: Features a buzzer to indicate continuity for quick circuit checks.
  • Diode Test: Performs a diode test to check the health and polarity of diodes.
  • Transistor (hFE) Test: Includes a dedicated socket to test the DC current gain (hFE) of NPN and PNP transistors.
