Description

The Mitutoyo 368-879 Holtest Inside Micrometer is a mechanical three-point bore gauge with a measuring range of 9 to 10 inches. It is part of the economical Type II series, featuring hardened tool-steel anvils instead of the titanium-coated carbide used in other models.

Key features
  • Self-centering: The three anvils are evenly spaced at 120° for true alignment with the bore's axis, enabling accurate and repeatable measurements.
  • Consistent force: A ratchet stop mechanism ensures that a constant measuring force is applied, preventing user variability from affecting the result.
  • Blind bore measurement: The design allows for measurements to be taken closer to the bottom of blind bore holes.
  • Optional extension rod: An extension rod can be fitted to measure deeper holes.
  • Optional setting rings: Setting rings are available separately for accurately calibrating the zero point.
