The Mitutoyo 368-877 Holtest (Type II) is a three-point internal micrometer designed for measuring the inside dimensions of bores and holes. It is a mechanical, non-digital tool with a range of 7 to 8 inches.
Key features
Three-point contact: The tool has three anvils positioned at 120° intervals. This design provides self-centering capabilities, ensuring accurate and repeatable measurements of internal diameters.
Contact points: The anvils are made of hardened, alloy steel to provide durability and consistent performance.
Ratchet stop: A built-in ratchet stop ensures a constant measuring force is applied, preventing measurement errors caused by varying pressure.
Measurement of blind bores: The design allows for taking measurements closer to the bottom of blind bore holes.
Wooden case: The holtest is supplied in a fitted wooden case, as it is a model for measurements over 4 inches.
Clear scale: The scale on the thimble and sleeve is laser-etched for easy reading under various lighting conditions.
Optional accessories: For measuring deep holes, an optional extension rod is available. Optional setting rings can also be used for accurate zero-point adjustment.
