The Mitutoyo 368-874 Holtest Inside Micrometer, type II, 4 to 5" is a mechanical, three-point internal micrometer designed for measuring the inside diameter of bores. It uses three alloy steel anvils for self-centering and consistent measurements. As a Type II Holtest, it is an economical version with hardened alloy steel contact points rather than carbide ones.

  • Self-centering action: The three evenly spaced anvils provide a self-centering action for stable and accurate measurements.
  • Blind hole measurements: The design allows for measurements to be taken closer to the bottom of blind bores.
  • Durable construction: It features a hardened steel spindle and a constant-force ratchet stop to ensure accurate and repeatable measurements.
  • Laser-etched scale: The thimble and sleeve have a laser-etched scale for easier reading in various conditions.
  • Optional accessories: Can be used with an optional extension rod to measure deep holes and optional setting rings for zero-point adjustment.
