The Mitutoyo 142-402 Series 142 Crimp-Height Type Micrometer with digit counter is a mechanical micrometer designed for measuring the height of electrical crimp contacts.

Key features
  • Ratchet stop mechanism: This feature ensures that a constant measuring force is applied to the workpiece, eliminating variations in pressure from the operator and providing precise, repeatable results.
  • Spindle lock: A locking clamp holds the measurement position, which is useful for recording readings and ensures the measurement is not accidentally shifted.
  • Mechanical digit counter: The built-in counter provides a direct reading of the measurement, eliminating guesswork and reducing the chance of reading errors from the vernier scale.
  • Satin chrome finish: The finish on the sleeve and laser-etched markings on the thimble improve readability.
  • Graduation: The vernier scale, combined with the mechanical counter, provides readings with a graduation of 0.01 mm.
