Description

The Megger MIT1025 is a compact, lightweight 10-kV insulation resistance tester designed for diagnostic testing and maintenance of high-voltage electrical equipment. It is particularly useful for applications involving cables, transformers, motors, and generators.

Key features
  • Test voltages: The unit offers a multi-range test voltage with options for 500 V, 1000 V, 2500 V, 5000 V, and 10,000 V. It also allows for user-defined voltages from 100 V to 10 kV in fine steps.
  • Diagnostic capabilities: Beyond standard insulation resistance (IR) tests, it can perform a full suite of diagnostic tests, including Polarization Index (PI), Dielectric Absorption Ratio (DAR), Dielectric Discharge (DD), Step Voltage (SV), and ramp tests.
  • High-range measurement: The MIT1025 can measure insulation resistance up to 20 teraohms (TΩ).
  • Advanced battery system: It features an extended-capacity, fast-recharge lithium-ion battery. The unit can also operate directly from mains power, even with a fully discharged battery.
  • Memory and data logging: The tester has a built-in memory that stores test results with a time and date stamp. Data can be logged and downloaded to a PC via a USB interface for analysis using Megger's PowerDB Lite software.
  • Safety features: The device is safety rated to CAT IV 600 V and has a tough, dual-case design with an IP65 rating when the lid is closed for protection against dust and water jets.
  • Noise immunity: It provides high noise immunity of up to 3 mA, which helps ensure accurate results in noisy electrical environments.
  • Additional measurements: It includes a dedicated voltmeter function (30 V to 660 V AC/DC) with frequency measurement to check for induced voltages.
