Description

The Megger BVM150 is a modular battery voltage monitor system designed to automate and streamline the capacity testing of large, industrial battery banks. It is primarily used in conjunction with a load unit, such as the Megger TORKEL, and test data management software. The BVM150 system includes 16 individual BVM units.

• Wide voltage range: The system supports a voltage range of 0–20 V DC for individual units, with a maximum battery string voltage of 300 V DC per loop.
• Durable and safe: The BVM system complies with safety standards (CE, RoHS, EMC) and features protection against overvoltage, reverse voltage, and electrostatic discharge (ESD). It is intended for use in medium-voltage substations and industrial settings.
• Flexible connections: The included "dolphin clips" can be exchanged with other types of clamps and cables to suit different battery connection requirements.
• Modular design: One BVM unit is used for each cell or block in the battery bank being tested.
• Daisy-chain connection: The units are linked together, which provides an easy and expandable way to handle a large number of batteries. The BVM150 kit includes 16 units, but the system can be expanded to test up to 242 cells (2 loops of 121).
• Automated setup: The "Auto Discovery" feature automatically detects the number of batteries and assigns a sequential ID to each BVM unit for easy monitoring.
• Data collection: During a capacity test, the BVM units accurately measure and record the voltage of each individual cell. This data is logged and can be analyzed using software like TORKEL Win or PowerDB.
• Integration: The BVM system is designed to integrate seamlessly with Megger's TORKEL load units, but can also be used with other load banks with the aid of a PC.
