Description

The Megger 514242-1 is an Electronic DETEX Voltage Detector designed for use on high-voltage transmission lines. This electronic "beeper-style" detector provides both audible and visual alerts when AC voltages are present within its operating range.

• High-voltage range: The 514242-1 has an operating range of 67 to 235 kV (phase-to-phase) and a nominal system voltage range of 69 to 230 kV.
  
• Continuous monitoring: There is no on/off switch; the device continuously monitors for voltage when in use.
  
• Visual indication: It features four bright red LEDs for clear visibility, especially at a distance.
  
• Audible indication: It produces a piercing audio tone to warn of the presence of phase-to-ground AC voltage.
  
• Universal hot stick mount: The device is fitted with a universal spline for attachment to a hot line pole (not included), which is required for safe operation.
  
• Self-test function: A push-button self-test feature simulates an external voltage to verify that the audible tone and visual indicators are working correctly before use. A green LED indicates the device is ready.
