The M73 from HT Instruments is not a HiPot tester but a portable multifunction meter for performing electrical safety tests in domestic and industrial environments. The device tests for compliance with standards like IEC/EN61557 and VDE 0100 by measuring global earth resistance, insulation, and continuity.

Key Features
  • Safety testing: Performs earth resistance tests without tripping RCDs, measures RCD trip time and current (Type A and AC), and checks phase sequence.
  • Multimeter functions: Includes a full-featured True RMS (TRMS) digital multimeter for measuring AC/DC voltage and current.
  • Peak measurement: Features a 1ms peak measurement function, useful for evaluating the inrush current of electrical motors.
