Description

The Hioki RM3542-51 Resistance Meter is a high-speed, high-precision DC resistance meter with a GP-IB interface, designed for automated inspection and testing of a broad range of components. It features a range of 100 mΩ to 100 MΩ (and 1000 mΩ to 1000 Ω in low-power mode) and is suitable for measuring super-small electronic parts.

Key Features
  • Interface: The model RM3542-51 includes a built-in GP-IB interface for integration into automated systems, in addition to the standard RS-232C and printer interfaces.
  • Measurement speed: When set to "FAST" mode, the meter provides measurement results in as little as 0.9 ms, which is useful for maximizing productivity in automated testing.
  • Accuracy: It offers a high basic accuracy of ±0.015% reading ±0.002% full scale for the 100 mΩ range in "SLOW" mode, with a maximum resolution of 0.1 μΩ.
  • Low-impact measurement: The meter features low-impact measurement technology that is ideal for testing minuscule components, such as 008004-size electronic parts.
  • Contact improvement: The "Contact Improver" function helps ensure reliable measurements by suppressing rush current and eliminating oxide films or dirt that can interfere with the probes and specimens.
  • Applied voltage limit: An applied voltage limit function allows the user to switch the detection voltage to 5 V or less for measuring components with low-rated voltages.
  • Error detection: The meter includes multiple checking functions to detect errors, such as measurement faults, poor contact, and probe short-circuits.
  • Data memory and export: It can store up to 30,000 measurement data points in its memory for quality control purposes, with options for data output.
  • Built-in functions: Other features include a comparator for passing/failing tests, scaling functions, offset voltage compensation (OVC), and statistical calculations.
