The Hioki BT3564 Battery HiTester is a benchtop instrument designed for high-speed, high-voltage battery testing, specifically for EV (Electric Vehicle) and PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) battery packs. It provides a maximum input voltage of 1000 V and simultaneously measures both the internal resistance and battery voltage.

  • Safety features: It includes a built-in spark discharge reduction function that limits the current flow when test probes make contact with high-voltage battery terminals, reducing the risk of discharge and enhancing safety.
  • High-speed, high-accuracy measurements: The BT3564 can perform simultaneous, high-speed measurements of both internal resistance (AC-IR) and open-circuit voltage (OCV). It offers high-precision readings and a fast measurement speed, with a 2 ms sampling rate in "Extra-FAST" mode.
  • Bus bar resistance measurement: With a sensitive 3 m\(\Omega \) range, the BT3564 is also capable of measuring the resistance of battery tab welding and bus bars.
  • Enhanced production line compatibility: The tester is designed for fully automated production line testing and comes standard with multiple interfaces (LAN, RS-232C, GP-IB, EXT I/O, and Analog output) for easy integration into test systems.
  • Optional high-voltage probe: It supports optional 1000 V probes, with specially designed longer tips to safely reach the deep-set terminals often found on high-voltage battery packs.
  • Built-in data logging: An analog output function allows for continuous monitoring and data logging of resistance values, useful for long-term vibration or environmental testing.
