The Mitutoyo 201-157 Dial Snap Gauge is a precision instrument designed for quick, go/no-go judgment of the outer diameters of cylinders, shafts, and other parts during machining processes. This tool requires a separate dial indicator to function and is notable for its durable, carbide-tipped anvils and easy handling.

Key features

  • Range: The gauge measures within a range of 6 to 7 inches (152.4 to 177.8 mm).
  • Anvils: It features wide, flat carbide anvils measuring 0.53 x 0.47 inches (13.5 x 12 mm). The front edges are chamfered for easy insertion of a workpiece.
  • Indicator (optional): The unit is sold without a dial indicator, allowing users to select one that best fits their specific application. Mitutoyo recommends the 2803SB-10 (.0001" reading) indicator.
